Director of Operations
As Senior Director of Operations, key responsibilities include delivery of best-in-class services to client sites, increased market share, maintaining business growth & retention, continuous improvement, leadership development and people management initiatives.
As Director of Operations for you will ensure the company’s continuation of being a market leader in sustainable facilities management.
Counties of responsibility include:
Galway, Mayo, Cork, Kerry, Clare, Tipperary, Limerick, Waterford
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Endorse and adhere to Enviro FM’s Core Values of sustainability, safety, environmental, safety and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Safety Management Systems, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
- Leads and develops a multi-function team, collaborating closely with the Managing Director, and line-managers to drive achievement of site safety, quality, on-time delivery, revenue, cost improvement and associate engagement targets and initiatives.
- Drives performance and accountability; measure and monitor business performance, cost reduction programs leveraging KPIs/metrics.
- Champions Enviro FM’s Quality Policy and Vision; demonstrates a commitment to quality and “putting the client first”.
- Fosters a continuous improvement culture, driving the development of innovative and effective cost-reduction programs including the development and execution of Enviro FM lean initiatives.
- Leads new product introduction activities and business process oversight.
- Develops annual financial plans with FP&A to support continuous growth and cost management; including preparing justifications and plans for investments in training, staffing, and capital equipment.
- Provides Monthly Operational performance summaries inclusive of 12-month rolling financial forecasts.
- Participates in business development activities that develop/enhance customer relationships and close sales, including business cases, risk and technical assessments, and customer communication in partnership with the commercial team.
- Supports Customer Solutions activities within the facility including quoting and customer service.
- Manages people and develops talent consistently and within Enviro FM values, creating an environment and culture where all Enviro FM associates are able to contribute to their full potential.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education & Experience:
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Facilities Management or similar technical discipline. Advanced degree (M.S,/M.B.A) preferred
Minimum Experience:
- 7+ years progressive leadership experience in Facilities Management including prior site leader experience; multi-site and multi client management experience plus
- Proven track record of P&L management and delivering continuous improvement results by championing and building ad engaging high-performance team.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Demonstrated leadership in talent management; track record of attracting and developing managers and building a team capability for complex environments.
- Able to analyze, understand and effectively communicate with all teams.
- Strategic mindset: able to develop a vision and long-range plan for Southwest Ireland sites while effectively driving execution.
- Lead successful new client and service launches, transfers and experience developing new processes.
- Capacity planning and project management expertise.
- Demonstrated results through building and sustaining Lean and continuous improvement systems and cultures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and public presentation skills essential
- Fluent spoken and written English essential
